- Designed and implemented expandable weapon collection and switching system
- Developed weapon stat system for easy creation and unique stats (firing modes, spread, damage, SFX, etc.)
- Animated in-engine cutscenes with shaders and particle systems
- Designed particle systems (muzzle flash, bullet trails, explosions, etc.)
- Created the enemy animator and mapped animations to each state of the AI's FSM
Description
As a POW in the alien armada's compound, you must find a way to break out and find your way back to Earth. Sneak into their armories to gear up with weapons and a space suit, board their transport ship, and stowaway on their journey to Earth. In the midst of an alien invasion, take down the mothership to save your home planet!
For our Game Programming class, we collaborated to develop a first-person shooter in Unity that utilized techniques learned in class like FPS Movement Controls, AI Pathfinding, Animation Controllers, and Particle Systems. Following strict production milestones, we developed Alpha, Beta, and Gold-Master releases, and a trailer (game footage not final).
